Kenya School Update February 2021

The school in Kenya ( Ushindi Junior Academy) is now reopened. The schools in Kenya reopened January 5th after being closed since March 2020 or about 10 months due to the pandemic. The school calendars have been adjusted so that the regular terms will begin again in 2024 when the new curriculum is scheduled to be totally implemented. Kenya is now going to be following the 2-6-3-3-3 model for education which is actually followed by most countries.  the first 2 are Kindergarten , the six is primary school followed by 3 years jr secondary and 3 years senior secondary and then 3 years of higher education.

There are now 91 students enrolled from kindergarten to grade 3. This year we will be adding grades 4-6 to complete primary school. We are still looking for sponsors. It only cost $20 per month to sponsor a child.
