Personal late summer 2021 update
Hello and greetings to all. While we have not been traveling because of the pandemic, I have been working on a few projects and I have a few updates. I have started writing the second edition of Daily Gems. I hope to have it completed by December 1. The book will be free to anyone who donates any dollar amount to the school in Kenya.
Today I had my annual physical exam. Because of my age I get a free physical exam every year and I was in and out in about one hour. The exam includes blood work, ultrasound and ekg. The clinic even delivers the results back to my community. Hard to beat that for service (smile). BTW I also get the annual free bus pass.
I am still practicing Tai Chi early mornings. I usually wake about 5am leave home and return around 7:30 am.
I was reminded today why I do enjoy living here. I had a young man in my community around 10 years old who ran to catch up with me just to ask me my name. His English was limited but he was very polite. On another occasion today as I was walking home, I heard someone say uncle. He was a teen probably 14 or 15. Uncle or Aunt are the terms used to indicate respect when addressing someone older than you. Again all he wanted to say was hello but it put a smile on my face.
Btw I am in a 10000 steps a day informal club. Today I am number 5 with 13902 steps even though it rained most of the day,
Blessings to all of you.
My Chinese daughter Catherine, her daughter and my wife.
