Training School late summer 2021 update
The Chinese government has made some significant regulatory changes to the education industry.
- Students under the age of 6 cannot enroll in training schools
- Schools can no longer provide training classes on weekends for primary and middle school students in the core subjects such as English, Chinese, Math and Sciences
- Schools cannot provide training during the holidays including winter and summer breaks
- Face to face classes must be completed by 8:30 during the week and online classes must be completed by 9
- Online classes companies cannot use teachers outside of China
- All training schools will become not for profits and cannot be listed on stock exchanges, etc
These regulations were suggested for the following reasons:
1. Students need to be relieved of some of the academic pressures
2. Parents will have less expenditures thus allowing for multiple births with parents now allowed to have up to 3 children.
